Seriously, not only does he LOOK like a crazed mass-murderer in the making (the unnervingly blue eyes! the slightly dark and sunken eye-sockets! the occasional evil glares of death!) but he then revels his creepy POWERS OF TELEPATHY and ability to BREAK THINGS WITH HIS MIND. What part of that makes him seem harmless and adorable?!

I love the odd piece of gen, especially nice, angsty gen, but I guess a lot of people just don't find it particularly interesting without the romantic aspects. It's a shame, because I think it really tends to get passed over in fandom.
