I love this so much. The thought of the both of them, looking back at everything they've gone through together, still years ahead of them, and living in the moment, makes me all warm and smiling.
And this image took my breath away: ...because even though he’s seen Merlin halt time and split the earth asunder, seen him stalking the battlefield with blood on his face and fire at his fingertips, he’s also seen him conjuring ribbons and dolls for little girls in the marketplace, face lit up and smiling wide as though he were the one receiving the gift... Because I want the young man as played by Colin Morgan to become this powerful wizard but also still be that boyish sparkling person. And I love that Arthur recognizes and appreciates this.
